Sant Cugat del Vallès' Festa de Tardor will focus on the demand for dignified, affordable housing when it returns to Parc Ramon Barnils on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October. For residents facing high rents or difficulty finding an affordable home, the event will bring local housing demands into a public programme involving around 60 local organisations, according to [Sant Cugat's municipal news service](https://www.cugat.cat/noticies/la-lluita-per-un-habitatge-digne-protagonista-de-la-51a-festa-de-tardor/?ref=barna.news).

The festival manifesto calls for action including rent-price regulation, more publicly owned housing, tighter limits on property speculation and tourist flats, and stronger tenants' rights. It also supports alternatives such as co-operative housing.

> "Housing can no longer be a business or an object of speculation."

## How to connect with local housing groups
