The incident occurred on Saturday 16th December 2023, after the victim met the defendants at a nightclub. The trial began on Wednesday 28th October 2026 at the Fifth Section of the Barcelona Court, with the victim giving testimony. She stated that the sexual acts were not consensual, that the defendants pushed and threw her, and that she repeatedly begged them to stop. The woman, who said she did not know the names of the accused, explained she tried to contact a friend at the nightclub multiple times but could not because her phone was blocked. She only reunited with her friend after the assault, when they returned to the nightclub and reported the incident to the Mossos d’Esquadra, the regional police force. The two defendants, aged 18 and 19 at the time of the incident, have been in provisional detention since their arrest. ## The Alleged Assault According to the prosecution’s written statement, the victim and the accused met around 00:30 on 16th December 2023 at a nightclub in Cornellà, where the minor had gone with friends. At approximately 05:25 the following morning, the defendants left the venue with her and took her to a nearby bar owned by one of their families. There, prosecutors allege, they “violently pushed” the girl inside and took turns engaging in sexual acts without condoms and without her consent, while slapping her across her body. One defendant remained in the room during the other’s assault, and the entire incident was allegedly recorded on mobile phones. --- ## Charges and Penalties Sought The two are jointly charged with sexual assault with penetration, with the prosecution treating them both as perpetrators and necessary co-conspirators. The office is requesting 15 years in prison for the assault and an additional nine years for cooperation, totalling 24 years. They are also seeking compensation of €50,315 for the victim, a request supported by the private prosecution. > The victim said she repeatedly asked the defendants to stop, but they ignored her.
