The complaints focus on weekend nights and early-morning departures, affecting people living near the venue and the route to Llucmajor metro station. The residents have formed the Porta Civicocultural Platform to collect complaints for submission to Barcelona City Council. They say the busiest period is from about 05:00, when customers leave the venue and pass through Jardins d'Alfàbia square towards the metro. --- ## Residents cite noise, confrontations and alleged threats Ariadna, a resident quoted by El Nacional, said the square had become a focal point for noise and disturbance during nightclub departures. Francisco said residents felt let down by the authorities, despite what he described as an increased presence of the Guàrdia Urbana, Barcelona's municipal police, in recent weeks. > “We cannot sleep at weekends,” Ariadna said, referring to customers leaving the nightclub and heading towards Llucmajor station. Another resident, Yolanda, said some neighbours had received threats after asking people outside to keep the noise down. These are residents' allegations reported by El Nacional. Residents who want complaints included in the platform's submission to the Ajuntament, Barcelona City Council, can add their reports through the Porta Civicocultural Platform, which was formed to gather incidents linked to the area around the nightclub. --- ## Nightclub says incidents are isolated Daniel Ruz Escobar, director of Grupo Mandarina, the operator of Enigma, told El Nacional that there had been isolated cases of antisocial behaviour but said such incidents occurred around nightlife venues generally. He said Enigma could not control events occurring several streets away. > “We are the first to be interested in nothing happening,” Ruz said. “An hour before closing, we make announcements over the loudspeaker asking people to respect the other neighbours when they leave.” Ruz said the nightclub invests in security, cleans the street every night and does not allow customers to take drinks or glasses outside. He also said the venue's licence and inspections were in order.
