Barcelona police have ruled out criminal activity in a butane cylinder explosion that injured 11 people in a Poblenou residential building last Tuesday.

## Emergency Response and Injuries

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, 13 May, left one person seriously injured. Another individual sustained less serious injuries. Both were transported to [Vall d'Hebron Hospital](https://hospital.vallhebron.com/?ref=barna.news) in the Catalan capital. Nine other people suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The [Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques](https://sem.gencat.cat/?ref=barna.news) (SEM) deployed nine ambulances to the scene. Firefighters, known as Bombers, evacuated the building. They then extinguished the blaze and ensured the area's safety.

## Police Rule Out Criminal Activity
