The network includes five municipal music schools and the Municipal Conservatory of Music. The five schools, EMM Can Fargues, EMM Can Ponsic, EMM Eixample – Joan Manuel Serrat, EMM Nou Barris, and EMM Sant Andreu – Mestre Pich Santasusana, have enrolled over 2,500 students in long-term programmes. An additional 800 places are available for workshops and activities aimed at babies, families, and adults over 65. ## Financial Support and Community Access The IMEB offers discounts of 30%, 50%, and 70% on public fees for students aged 4 to 18 in long-term programmes and for those pursuing professional degrees at the Conservatory. The measure aims to support families facing economic hardship and promote inclusive access to music education. Students from the schools regularly perform in public concerts across the city, both within and outside the centres, as part of efforts to bring music into local communities. --- ## Conservatory Enrolment and Public Offerings The Municipal Conservatory of Music, located at Carrer de Bruc, 110–112, has registered 512 enrolments for professional degree studies this year. With 140 years of history, the Conservatory hosts 20 student ensembles and 70 chamber groups. It will present three seasons of free concerts, autumn, winter, and spring, at the Auditori Eduard Toldrà. The Conservatory also shares historical sound material via [Radio Web Conservatori](https://radiowebconservatori.barcelona.cat/?ref=barna.news) and maintains a specialised library open to the public. The "Bruc Obert" programme, designed for adult learners, offers training in four musical areas. Over 1,100 people enrolled in the programme last academic year. ## Anniversary Celebrations at Can Fargues The Municipal Music School Can Fargues in Horta-Guinardó marks its 10th anniversary this year.
