The new app, launched on 30 July 2026, consolidates key features into one platform tailored specifically for the Barcelona commuter rail network, according to the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The app replaces the previous Rodalies service, which ceased operation on 15 September 2026\. From that date, users must download the new app to continue accessing digital services. ## Features Include Live Maps and Ticket Purchase - Real-time tracking of trains across the network - Interactive maps showing stations, lines, and nearby facilities such as bicycle parking - Ability to save favourite stations and routes for quick access - A home-screen widget displaying departures from major stations without opening the app - Integrated ticket purchasing system - Personalised alerts and AI-assisted route searches The application uses Rodalies de Catalunya’s distinct branding, making it easily identifiable in app stores. It is available for download on the Apple App Store and was developed under Renfe’s broader digital platform. > The separate Rodalies application is intended to help commuters plan journeys and make decisions when delays, service changes or other unexpected problems affect the network. ## Developed with Support from Portbou Digital Team Renfe’s Digital Competencies Center in Portbou played a key role in validating and testing the app since September 2025\.
