The outdoor pool was refurbished before the 2026 summer season. ## A club based in Montjuïc since 1951 Reial Societat Tennis Pompeia was founded in 1913 and originally had courts in the area bounded by Travessera de Gràcia, Carrer de Casanova, Carrer de Santaló, Carrer d’Amigó and Avinguda Diagonal. Rising rental costs led the club to leave those facilities. In 1951, the municipal Montjuïc tennis complex was transferred to the club on the condition that it would maintain and manage it. The courts had been built for international competitions during Barcelona’s 1929 International Exposition.
