# Man arrested over violent death in L'Hospitalet

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the violent death of another man in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mossos d'Esquadra said on Tuesday, 28 July. Another person was injured in the same incident and taken to hospital.

Regional police received an alert at about 11pm on Monday that a person was in a critical condition on a public street in the Barcelona-area municipality. For residents in the area, the investigation remains active and the circumstances of the incident have not been made public.

## Man found dead after late-night alert

Mossos d'Esquadra patrols and units from the Medical Emergency System attended the scene. Officers found a man’s body with clear signs of violence, according to the police.

- The alert was received at about 11pm on Monday, 27 July.
- A second person was evacuated to hospital after being injured.
- Police arrested the 35-year-old man nearby.

## Criminal Investigation Division leading inquiry

The Mossos d'Esquadra Criminal Investigation Division has opened an inquiry to establish the origin and circumstances of the incident. The case is subject to judicial secrecy by court order.

Police have not released further details about the victim, the injured person or the location of the incident.
