## Police Operation Follows Resident Complaints

The Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia's regional police, have dismantled a drug dealing location in the El Pedró neighbourhood of Cornellà de Llobregat after acting on complaints from local residents about suspicious activity at a private home. Residents had reported an unusual number of people frequently visiting the property, prompting a police investigation into suspected drug trafficking. In response, officers conducted covert surveillance operations which confirmed a steady flow of individuals entering and leaving the house.

## Drugs and Equipment Seized

On 30 September 2026, police executed a search of the property. They found several quantities of cocaine intended for street-level distribution, electronic weighing scales, and cash. The 44-year-old man living at the property with his family was arrested the same day.

> Investigators confirmed the man was supplying doses of cocaine to visitors who attended the property sporadically.

The operation concluded with the suspect being formally processed and presented before the duty court at Cornellà de Llobregat.

## Community Policing Success

The Mossos d'Esquadra confirmed the intervention in an official statement released on Tuesday 6 October 2026\. The operation highlights the role of community vigilance in identifying local crime, with no injuries or public disturbances reported during the investigation or arrest.
