One person died and another was left paraplegic after the Parc de les Planes attack, while a 15-year-old died in the Parc de la Pegaso shooting. For residents of both areas, the arrest marks the first reported detention in the Parc de les Planes case, although police inquiries remain ongoing. ## Arrest on Carrer del Progrés Police had spotted the suspect near Avinguda de Catalunya in L'Hospitalet on Friday afternoon, but he entered a flat and officers lost sight of him, the report said. Plain-clothes officers from the Fura de L'Hospitalet unit found him again on Carrer del Progrés after 03:00 on Saturday. He was arrested in the street without resistance and taken to a police station. The man was wanted on two arrest warrants relating to alleged murder and weapons possession. Officers informed the Mossos Criminal Investigation Division, known as the DIC, which is investigating both shootings. --- ## Police investigate alleged gang links Investigators believe the detainee allegedly fired the shots at Parc de les Planes, where a young man was killed at the end of March and another sustained injuries that caused paraplegia. Police have not publicly established the specific motive. Police are also examining his possible involvement in the death of the 15-year-old at Parc de la Pegaso. That investigation had already resulted in arrests on 4 July and 21 July, with both detainees remanded in custody, according to the report. Police investigators consider that both shootings may be linked to conflict between criminal groups associated with gangs.
