Gisela Sais, director of Música Mercè, described the 2026 programme as “cross-disciplinary” in its treatment of genres and said it places “music in capital letters” at its centre. > “A vocation that is open, plural and diverse.” Festival organisers say the programme is intended to represent the cultural diversity and range of accents found in Barcelona today.
