# La Mercè 2026 music programme runs from 23 to 27 September

[La Mercè 2026](https://barna.news/whats-on-la-merce/) will run from 23 to 27 September, with nearly 100 music proposals scheduled across venues in Barcelona, according to Barcelona City Council. The programme is part of the city’s annual Mercè festivities and includes the Mercè Música and BAM, Barcelona Acció Musical, strands.

For residents and visitors planning festival days, the council’s programme allows activities to be searched by date, theme, intended audience, accessibility and whether booking is required. La Mercè as a whole is expected to include around 500 activities, spanning music, street arts and popular culture.

## Music from Barcelona and beyond

The council describes the Mercè Música programme as a celebration of social diversity, with particular emphasis on music created in Barcelona. It also aims to promote cultural exchange, gender equality and links between education and culture.
