The Catalan Minister of Health, Olga Pané, met today with representatives from Metges de Catalunya (MC), the main doctors' union, in the first formal discussion since a cycle of industrial action began in October 2025\. Officials from the Department of Health characterised the meeting as "positive and constructive", underscoring both sides’ interest in resolving the conflict. The department confirmed that Minister Pané and her team have been holding a series of meetings with all health sector unions. Despite the improved communication, MC clarified that no timetable for negotiations has been set. The union reiterated its core demands, including better staffing, working conditions, and pay, which it says have long been neglected.
