The former Imax cinema at Port Vell is due to reopen on Monday 28 September with *Iniesta: The Inner Game*, an immersive exhibition about Andrés Iniesta, according to [Europa Press](https://www.europapress.es/catalunya/noticia-antiguo-imax-barcelona-acogera-exposicion-inmersiva-andres-iniesta-20260903175327.html?ref=barna.news). The reopening gives Barcelona residents and visitors a new daytime cultural and family attraction at Moll d'Espanya, where the building will operate as an exhibition space for the next four years.

Standard admission is €19.95, with discounts and promotions announced for young people, families, older visitors and other groups. Tickets first went on sale online on Monday 24 August, and bookings are available through the [Iniesta: The Inner Game ticket page](https://www.tiqets.com/es/atracciones-barcelona-c66342/entradas-para-iniesta-el-juego-interior-entrada-p1136509/?ref=barna.news).

Stoneweg, the investment fund behind the project, previously adapted the building for the America's Cup Experience. It told *El Periódico* that investment in the former cinema's latest conversion exceeds €8 million.

## A temporary exhibition venue before Liceu Mar

The Port de Barcelona, Barcelona's port authority, granted a four-year concession for the site while plans for the future Liceu Mar project are processed. The Imax building opened in 1995 and closed in summer 2014 before briefly returning to use for the America's Cup Experience.

> "The concession seeks to give continuous use to the former Imax while the Liceu Mar project is processed," the Port de Barcelona said when announcing the four-year arrangement.

The port authority has said the replacement project is intended to become a key part of Barcelona's cultural map.

## Nine rooms trace Iniesta's career and personal story

The first exhibition is produced by NSN, or Never Say Never, the company run by Iniesta and Joel Borràs. The visitor route will include personal objects, interactive installations and a chance to take on a goal.

Its nine themed rooms cover:

- Iniesta's childhood in Fuentealbilla, Albacete, and his time at La Masia;
- the 2009 goal at Stamford Bridge and Spain's 2010 World Cup-winning goal in South Africa;
- his period in Japan, retirement, Iniesta Academy project and experience of depression.

The exhibition opens at the former Imax on Moll d'Espanya on Monday 28 September.
