# Esplugues Adds 381 Orange Zone Parking Spaces

## 381 New Orange Zone Spaces from 1st December

Esplugues de Llobregat will introduce 381 new orange zone parking spaces across the Finestrelles, La Plana, and Montesa neighbourhoods starting 1st December 2026\. The measure, approved by the municipal plenary session at the end of September, aims to reorganise parking demand and improve access for workers in key areas. The initiative particularly targets long-term parking pressures in Finestrelles, where the green zone is nearly at full capacity, making it difficult for residents to find spaces. Workers at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu currently occupy many nearby blue zone spots for extended periods, reducing availability for patients, families, and short-term visitors.

## Finestrelles Gets 214 Spaces

Finestrelles will receive 214 of the new orange zone spaces, primarily intended for workers from outside the municipality employed at the hospital and surrounding facilities. These spaces will be located further from the immediate hospital vicinity to free up closer blue zone spots for shorter stays. Under the new distribution, Finestrelles will have:

- 184 blue zone spaces (a reduction of 69)
- 196 green zone spaces (an increase of 48)
- 214 orange zone spaces

This reorganisation aims to increase turnover in blue zones near the hospital.

## La Plana and Montesa: 167 Spaces for Industrial Workers

The industrial zones of La Plana and Montesa will jointly gain 167 orange zone spaces to serve local company employees. Montesa will have 103 new orange spaces and 40 green spaces on Carrer Federico García Lorca and Carrer Angelina Alós. La Plana will add 64 orange spaces. Currently, these areas have 113 green spaces. The change is designed to redistribute long-term parking and reduce pressure on the orange zone in the Gall neighbourhood.

## Operating Hours and Pricing

The orange zone will operate Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Outside these hours, spaces are free to use. Workers in each area can purchase permits via the Residents app at:

- €12 per week
- €30 per month
