## Chinese New Year in Barcelona: The Grand Parade

The centrepiece of the weekend is the traditional parade, which fills the streets with dragons, lions, and dancers. The festivities kick off with the ceremonial striking of the Gong.

Scheduled for **Saturday, 7 February**, the parade begins at **11:00 am**. The procession starts at the **Parc de l’Estació del Nord**, winding through the Eixample neighbourhood before concluding at the iconic Arc de Triomf. Meanwhile, spectators can expect a lively display of costumes and performances organised by the Associació Grupo Artistas Huaxing (China Star).

## Chinese New Year in Barcelona: Cultural Fair and Gastronomy

Following the parade, the celebration continues at the **Passeig de Lluís Companys** and the **Arc de Triomf**, which will host a cultural and gastronomic fair. This is an excellent opportunity for locals and visitors to sample traditional Chinese cuisine and engage with cultural workshops.

The fair will be open on both Saturday and Sunday from **11:00 am to 9:00 pm**.

## Chinese New Year in Barcelona: Schedule of Performances

In addition to the stalls and food vendors, a stage at the Arc de Triomf will host a series of shows featuring music, dance, and martial arts. These performances are organised by Casa Àsia and the Fundació Institut Confuci de Barcelona.
