# Barcelona Triathlon Closures 24–25 Oct

## Weekend Road and Parking Disruptions

The Challenge Barcelona Triathlon, taking place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026, will cause significant mobility disruptions in the Poblenou, Mar Bella, and Olympic Port areas. Full road closures and parking bans will be enforced to accommodate the event's cycling and running routes.

## Sunday Road Closures from 7 AM to 4 PM

On Sunday 25 October, vehicle circulation will be prohibited on several major roads between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Affected routes include:

- Av. Litoral, from Josep Pla to Neus Bouza Gil (sea side)
- Carmen Amaya, from Jaume Vicens Vives to Llacuna (sea side)
- Salvador Espriu, from Llacuna to Arquitecte Sert
- Av. Icària, between Marina and Arquitecte Sert (both carriageways)
- Marina, between Salvador Espriu and Av. Icària (Besòs side)
- Marina, between Doctor Trueta and Pujades (Besòs side)
- Chaflán Pujades-Marina (Llobregat side)
- Marina, between Pujades and Doctor Trueta (Llobregat side)
- Av. Litoral, between Pl. Voluntaris Olímpics and Llacuna
- P.º Marítim de Nova Icària
- P.º Marítim del Bogatell
- Av. Litoral, between Rbla. Poblenou and Jonquera
- Jonquera, between P.º Garcia Fària and Av. Litoral

Only vehicles accredited by the event organisers will be allowed on the circuit.

## Ronda del Litoral Exits and Entrances Closed

Key access points to the Ronda del Litoral will be shut:

- Exit 23 (both directions)
- Exit 24 (Besòs direction)
- Entrance 23 (both directions)
- Entrance 24 (Besòs direction)

Drivers are advised to plan alternative routes.

## Main Traffic Diversions

Traffic on P.º Garcia Fària will be diverted via Josep Pla. Traffic on Av. Litoral will be diverted towards Pl. Voluntaris Olímpics.

## Parking Prohibitions from Saturday Morning

Parking will be banned from 6:00 AM on Saturday 24 October until 4:00 PM on Sunday 25 October in the following areas:

- P.º Garcia Fària, between Josep Pla and Selva de Mar (mountain side)
- P.º Garcia Fària, between Josep Ferrater i Mora and Lope de Vega (mountain side)
- P.º Calvell, between Ferrocarril and Rbla. Poblenou (mountain carriageway)
- P.º Calvell, between Pje. Aymà and Llacuna (mountain carriageway)
- Arquitecte Sert, between Av. Icària and Salvador Espriu
- Av. Litoral, between Llacuna and Rbla. Poblenou

Additionally, on Sunday 25 October from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, parking will be prohibited at Marina-Muelle de la Marina, including taxi and loading/unloading zones.

## Public Transport May Be Affected

Bus services operating along the waterfront, Poblenou, Vila Olímpica, and Olympic Port may face delays or route changes. Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) advises checking [TMB's official service status page](https://www.tmb.cat/ca/detall-avis/-/asset%5Fpublisher/T008gFXWe2mx/?ref=barna.news) before travelling. Participants and spectators are encouraged to use public transport where possible. The event is expected to draw nearly 4,000 athletes and significant crowds.
