Barcelona will open the doors of several **key public transport facilities** to the public as part of **European Mobility Week**, running from **16 to 22 September 2025**. The initiative offers citizens and visitors a rare opportunity to discover how the city’s transport network operates behind the scenes, with **guided tours and open days** at normally restricted sites.

Among the highlights are visits to the **Santa Eulàlia metro workshop**, where trains are repaired and maintained, and the **Metro Control Centre**, which monitors the network in real time. The **Mercat Nou electrical substation**, crucial to supplying power to the metro system, will also be accessible, as will the **Rodalies (commuter rail) Management Centre**and the **TRAM depot**.

Other tours include the **Bicing Operations Centre**, where the city’s bike-sharing system is coordinated, and even the **Guàrdia Urbana stables**, linking urban mobility to the city’s policing services. Visitors will also be able to explore remnants of the historic **Urquinaona station stairwell**, providing a glimpse into Barcelona’s transport heritage.

The initiative is designed to promote **transparency, sustainability and public engagement**, reinforcing Barcelona’s role as a leading city in sustainable mobility policies.

- Walk through the Urban Canopy on a tour of the new Glòries Park
- Visit the facilities of the Municipal Mobility Services Center

**Barcelona’s Metropolitan Transport Authority (TMB)**

- Tour the Metro Control Center
- Drive a metro using a simulator
- Visit the electric substation at Mercat Nou Metro Station
- Attend workshops and visit ZAL | Riu Vell Metro Station
- Tour the Horta bus depot
- Participate in a workshop at Santa Eulàlia Station

**RENFE**

- Visit the management center of Rodalies, Catalonia’s commuter train system
