Barcelona will host "Space Explorers: The ISS Experience", an immersive virtual reality attraction, starting 1 July at the dome of [Les Arenes shopping centre](https://www.arenasdebarcelona.com/?ref=barna.news) on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 385\. This new experience allows visitors to live like a NASA astronaut on the International Space Station (ISS) without leaving the city.

## Immersive Journey to the ISS

Developed by Infinity Experiences and Eclipso, this 40-minute journey combines 360-degree immersive images filmed inside and outside the International Space Station with advanced virtual reality technology. Participants will explore a replica of the space station. They will also learn about daily astronaut life and view Earth from nearly 400 kilometres altitude. The experience even recreates the "overview effect", the profound emotion many astronauts describe when seeing our planet from space.

## Experience the Overview Effect

Inspired by real NASA missions, PHI Studio and Felix & Paul Studios co-created this attraction. It has already captivated over 500,000 people globally in other locations. Tickets are available now for advance purchase. Prices are €24 for adults and €18 for children up to 15 years old. The minimum recommended age for participants is 8 years.

## Barcelona's Commitment to Innovation

The installation bases itself on the Emmy-winning documentary series "Space Explorers: The ISS Experience". This series is considered the most ambitious audiovisual project ever filmed in space. It features unreleased footage captured directly on the International Space Station. It also includes real testimonies from astronauts. Barcelona, a city known for its rich cultural offerings, strengthens its commitment to immersive cultural experiences and new technologies with this addition. This attraction combines scientific outreach, entertainment, and innovation for residents and tourists alike. Les Arenes, a prominent shopping and entertainment hub, sits in the Eixample district, home to 260,000 residents. Its unique dome structure makes it an ideal venue for such a spectacle.

The arrival of "Space Explorers: The ISS Experience" further diversifies Barcelona's cultural space. It offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages to engage with space exploration and cutting-edge technology.
