Barcelona’s [Tibidabo Amusement Park](https://www.tibidabo.cat/?ref=barna.news) has opened Masia Tibidabo, a new Catalan restaurant in the historic Masia building at Plaça del Tibidabo. The site sits 500 metres above sea level and is now the highest restaurant in Barcelona.

Chef Rafa Zafra leads the kitchen. The opening comes as Tibidabo marks its 125th anniversary, adding a new dining option to one of the city’s best-known landmarks. Barcelona’s First Deputy Mayor Laia Bonet, who is also president of [Barcelona de Serveis Municipals](https://bsmsa.cat/?ref=barna.news), attended the inauguration with Mayor Jaume Collboni.

The building dates back to 1901 and has been rehabilitated for the project by Varis Arquitectes with Dani Freixes. The restaurant keeps the focus on the setting, with large windows, views over Barcelona, the sea and the Collserola range, and a design built around wood, warm tones and changing light.

Masia Tibidabo has space for 300 diners across three areas, a central dining room, a viewing room and a terrace. The two indoor rooms are set up for longer meals, while the terrace offers a quicker stop near the Temple del Sagrat Cor.

The menu centres on traditional Catalan cooking, local ingredients and seasonal produce. Dishes are designed for sharing, and the restaurant says it wants to introduce children to new flavours while keeping the experience relaxed for adults too. A wide wine list is also part of the offer.

Reservations include a ride on the Cuca de Llum funicular, which gives visitors a direct and sustainable way up the mountain. Parking is also available.
