A demonstration called by Unidos por Ceuta will take place on Passeig de Gràcia in central Barcelona at 11.30am on Sunday 12 October 2026\. The platform is asking supporters to attend under the slogan, “Catalonia with Ceuta. One Spain”.

For Barcelona residents planning to join the event, the published call identifies Passeig de Gràcia and the 11.30am start time. It presents the march as support for Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city in North Africa, and as a demand for action from Spain’s central government.

## Organisers frame march as support for Ceuta

According to the call published by El Catalán, Unidos por Ceuta says the gathering will defend Spanish national sovereignty and show solidarity with people in Ceuta. The platform alleges that the city faces social, economic, border and security pressures, and criticises the response of Pedro Sánchez’s government.

> “Catalonia with Ceuta. One Spain”.

The demonstration is due to feature Spanish national flags, according to the organisers’ call.

## Migration crisis cited in calls for support

ElPlural reported on 2 September that Ceuta had experienced a migration crisis for about a month, following irregular entries estimated at up to 80,000 people. It said the consequences had not yet been resolved and that demonstrations had been held in cities and towns across Spain.

In Ceuta, the report said participants called for an exceptional legal solution for migrants who remained in Spain. Ceuta’s president, Juan Jesús Vivas, thanked people elsewhere in Spain for showing that the city was not alone.

People intending to attend the Barcelona march should go to Passeig de Gràcia for the scheduled 11.30am start on Sunday 12 October 2026.
