Of the total budget, €46.3 million will come from the City Council, while €16.2 million will be provided by the Catalan Employment Service (SOC). The funds will support 55,000 people, 1,500 entrepreneurial projects and 6,500 companies. The agency has pledged to focus particularly on groups facing higher unemployment, such as women, young people and those in vulnerable situations.

Programmes will include tailored assistance for 20,000 jobseekers over the age of 45, increased investment in women-led businesses and the continuation of entrepreneurship support services. A key element will be the strengthening of the **Barcelona Investment Fund**, valued at €30 million, along with the launch of a new **Growth Fund** to bolster emerging enterprises.

Under the **Barcelona Impulsa** strategy, the agency will also boost sectors including immersive digital content through the **Barcelona XRLAB**, the circular economy and new hubs for digital talent and women’s economic leadership.

City officials highlighted that the budget comes amid a context of economic growth, with Barcelona’s GDP rising by 2.6 points and employment reaching a record 74.4%. The plan, they say, aims to ensure that this growth translates into inclusive opportunities across the city.
