## Direct Regional Route Restored

On Sunday 25th October 2026, Air Nostrum will relaunch direct flights between Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Pamplona’s Noáin Airport. The service, operating three times weekly on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, marks the latest revival of a long-standing regional air link that previously ran between 1997 and 2012, and again from 2022 to 2023\. Flights will depart Barcelona at 9:15 AM, arriving in Pamplona at 10:15 AM. The return journey leaves Pamplona at 10:45 AM, landing in Barcelona at 11:50 AM. The route will be operated using 100-seat CRJ1000 jet aircraft.

## Backed by Navarre’s Government

The reinstatement is supported by the Government of Navarre through a promotional agreement, aimed at improving regional connectivity. The journey by road takes around five hours, while direct train services take approximately four hours, with limited daily departures. The flight cuts travel time to under one hour. Air Nostrum, which operates as a franchise partner of Iberia for regional flights, is marketing the service through Iberia’s booking channels at [www.iberia.com](https://www.iberia.com/?ref=barna.news) and via travel agencies.

> 17% of passengers with tickets for the initial months will continue their journey from Barcelona to other destinations, highlighting the route’s role as a connector.

### Barcelona as a Gateway

Although primarily designed for travellers between the two regions, the flight also positions El Prat as a gateway to wider international networks. Passengers from Navarre can connect in Barcelona to 16 domestic and 34 international destinations, facilitated by code-sharing with Vueling and access to the Oneworld alliance. Popular onward destinations from initial bookings include Palma, Ibiza, Doha (via Qatar Airways), and Santiago de Chile (via Level, IAG’s long-haul carrier). Around 13% of early sales have been made outside Spain, mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

### Regional Connectivity Focus

Air Nostrum remains a key provider of regional air services from El Prat, also linking Barcelona with León, Badajoz, Valencia, and Melilla. During the 2026 summer season, it was the only airline operating from all Catalan airports managed by Aena and Aeroports de Catalunya. The airline has carried 120 million passengers in its 32-year history. For now, Air Nostrum anticipates around 50% average occupancy in the first month, with potential for increased frequency if demand grows.
