The closing ceremony took place today in the Saló de Cent at Barcelona City Hall, where Deputy Mayor Raquel Gil and Commissioner for Social Action Sonia Fuertes presented diplomas to participants. --- ## Support for Family Reunification and Inclusion The programme, run by the Directorate of Immigration and Refugee Services in collaboration with the Library Consortium, forms part of the broader 'New Families: Support for Family Reunification' initiative. Participants came from 21 countries, with 50% from South and Central America, 42% from Asia, 6% from Europe, and 2% from Africa. Young people, having lived in Barcelona between one month and six months, took part in workshops at seven city libraries during July and August. Activities focused on building relationship skills, self-confidence, and integration into the local environment, with Catalan used as the main language of instruction. > Barcelona is a city that grows with diversity.
