Around 10,000 primary school children from 248 schools in Barcelona participated in the Esport i Dansa Ara event at Palau Sant Jordi.
They showcased their rhythmic and expressive dance skills learned through months of work with physical education and music teachers. The event featured a contemporary and sports dance performance for families. The event is part of the “Lescola fa esport a la ciutat” program, promoted by the Barcelona City Council, encouraging students to practice sports during school hours. This program is popular among educational institutions in the city. How can such initiatives further enhance the overall development and well-being of young students in urban areas?
